Way South Fixed Wireless Internet
One of your tenants would like to connect this property to Way South, a locally owned fixed wireless internet provider based in Wynyard. We have put this page together so you can see exactly what is involved before you give the okay. The short version: the install is small and neat, we reuse existing mounting points wherever we can, and it adds a real connectivity benefit to the property.
The equipment
For this property we would install:
- Small outdoor radio atop of the building similar to a tiny Foxtel dish
- Cable run down an internal wall
- New internet (internet) wall plate

Designed to be low-impact
We go out of our way to keep the install tidy and unobtrusive:
- We reuse existing mounting points wherever possible, such as an existing antenna mast, plate or bracket and existing cable entry points, so we avoid new holes and fixings
- The radio itself is small and lightweight, so it sits discreetly and is barely noticeable from the ground
- Just one thin, weatherproof cable, run neatly into the home
- No trenching, no digging and no major works
- Installed by our own local team to a clean, professional standard
- Fully reversible. If the tenant moves out, we remove the equipment and make good any fixings
It adds value to the property
- A connected property is a more attractive one. Reliable internet is one of the first things prospective tenants ask about
- The connection point can stay in place for future tenants, so the property keeps a ready-to-use option
- The work is done by a licensed carrier (ACMA Carrier Licence No. 648).
It bypasses the nbn
- Way South runs its own independent network, so the connection does not rely on the nbn
- No waiting on nbn lead-in work, appointments or connection delays
- A strong alternative where the nbn is slow, congested or simply not the best fit for the property
- Reliable local service, with support from people right here in Wynyard rather than a mainland call centre
What we need from you
Just your okay in writing. A short reply confirming you are happy for the install to go ahead is all it takes.
If you would like to know more first, or to see our carrier licence, give us a call. We are always happy to walk through exactly how and where the equipment would be fitted. We are also happy to meet you on site to discuss the installation prior to any commitment.
